POST DISASTER RECOVERY: LESSONS LEARNED AND BEST PRACTICES, presented by Curt Skoog, Branch Manager, IBTS
Description: Planning for a natural disaster is a constant process. Although no disaster plan is ever perfect, localities that regularly review and update policies and procedures, staffing and stakeholders’ roles, and funding options are better able to manage the response and recovery effort when a disaster does strike.
Participants will be introduced to IBTS OnHAND, an online resource of natural disaster-related case studies, tools, and tips developed to meet the needs of stakeholders at the local level. Additionally, webinar participants will learn best practices to maximize federal disaster funding.
