Maryland Heights Council Member Chuck Caverly Elected
Vice President of Missouri Municipal League
JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. – The Missouri Municipal League elected city of Maryland Heights Council Member Chuck Caverly as Vice President during the organization’s recent annual conference in St. Charles, Missouri.
Councilman Caverly is serving his fifth term as Councilman, having first been elected to office in April 2010. This is the culmination of more than two decades of service to the City beginning in early 1995.
Caverly was appointed as a member of the city of Maryland Heights Beautification Commission in January 1995. He moved on to the Planning and Zoning Commission in 1998 where he served until his election to Council in 2010.
Mr. Caverly was elected to the Board of the Municipal League of Metro St. Louis and served as President in 2017-2018. He has also served on the Missouri Municipal League’s Environment, Energy and Sustainable Development Committee.
A graduate of Truman University, Caverly is employed as a botanist at Native Landscape Solutions. He is a member of Holy Spirit Church and an Eagle Scout and a Silver Beaver Award Recipient. Chuck and his wife, Kerry, have two sons, Captain D. Austin Caverly, United States Army, a graduate of the Citadel, and Isaac Caverly who is currently attending University of Iowa Law School. They have one daughter-in-law, Anne and a beautiful granddaughter, Ellie.
