Description: It’s a brave new world.  While the Internet provides information and resources like never before; it is also is presenting municipal officials with new challenges.   One of the most pressing of these challenges may be adequately training staff on how to best respond to citizens who want to live stream or upload their interactions with city staff.  Citizens are using everything from standard cell phones to more sophisticated video recording devices to capture these interactions.  One of the Internet’s most popular sites, Youtube, provides compensation to those who post popular videos.   Some individuals have a found a niche video market for their visits to public places such as court houses, post offices and city halls.  The individuals posting these videos are generally very knowledgeable about their rights as citizens to enter public buildings and the use of cameras.   One of the more popular posters in this niche has over 43,000 subscribers to his YouTube channel.   This webinar will focus on providing public office employees as well as police officers with training on how to best respond to these situations.
